Dr. Federico Usuelii

Dr. Usuelli is an Italian Orthopaedic Surgeon completely focused on Foot and Ankle, working in IRCCS Galeazzi, the first Orthopaedic Hospital in Italy. He has an International background with a Research Fellowship at Duke University and a Clinical Fellowship with Mark Myerson in Baltimore. After his Residency, he developed his knowledge of ankle arthritis working with Beat Hinterman, the Hintegra designer. Nowadays, his major interests are ankle arthritis and talar dome cartilage treatment. He developed an all-arthroscopic AMIC treatment for talar osteochondral lesions which has recently been published.

He is a consultant surgeon for ankle replacement in Italy, using both Hintegra mobile-bearing ankle and TM- Zimmer fix-bearing ankle. He developed the first Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program in Italy, which he leads in Milan.
